The challenge
Pharmacy inventory is a safety issue, not just a commercial one — expired medicine must be caught before it reaches a customer. The system had to work under the pressure of a busy counter, with staff who are pharmacists, not technicians.

What we did
- 01
Built a system that tracks stock by batch and expiry date, flagging items before they expire rather than after.
- 02
Added barcode scanning so stock is checked in and out in seconds, not keyed by hand.
- 03
Designed multi-branch visibility so a pharmacist can see what another branch has in stock before promising a customer.
- 04
Added reorder alerts based on actual usage patterns, so the pharmacy orders what it needs rather than what it remembers.

Outcome
A system that catches expiry before it becomes a problem. Stock is accurate, reordering is based on real usage, and multi-branch visibility means a customer is told the truth about availability.
